External Folding / EW
The EW system is designed for folding windows in residential or light
commercial applications. It has been specifically developed to allow the
opening to be effectively weathersealed in exposed environments.
EW is the first folding system in the world to have an integral retractable
flyscreen system. Clean lines, smooth operation and well executed functionality
make EW the perfect solution for your next project.
The system is modular, and can therefore be used in many applications
with a range of configurations. EW is most suited for openings where
an open look and feel is required to enhance the atmosphere of a
House, Apartment, Café, Restaurant or Hotel.

PANEL SIZING
Centor WindowCalc™ software facilitates simple calculation of panel sizes for any opening, and is available free from Centor Architectural.
WEATHER
This system is suitable for use in external building applications. The use of Schlegel’s Aquamac™ weatherseal is recommended for achieving compliance with AS2047.
SCREENING
The flyscreen system is fully integrated into the window system, and can be fully retracted for unobscured vistas. The chain operated screen can be operated with one hand and provides for easy access over benches or furniture.
APPLICATION
EW is ideal for any existing window application including kitchen
serveries, living areas bedrooms, hotels, bars, cafés and
restaurants. All screws are fully concealed for external security.
INSTALLATION
EW system has been designed to be fully assembled and fitted in
the factory for simple site installation of the finished unit.
Of course installation of panels on site is also a simple task
when required. Either way, EW provides for easy panel adjustment
both laterally and vertically – compensating for less than perfect installation of the frame. We have taken care to ensure adjustment is possible from inside the building for elevated applications.
MATERIALS
EW uses architectural grade aluminium alloy for all tracks and
guide sections. Bearings, carrier pins and hinge pins are made
from stainless steel.
ARCHITECTS AND SPECIFIERS
This system is suitable for folding wood windows with a maximum
panel weight of 45lb. You can simply specify Centor EW and leave
detailed component selection to the builder.
