There is an increasing demand that Centor’s
E2 intermediate carriers can be installed either right-hand
or left-hand. Centor has responded by slotting its hinges on
both ends so the hinges become both handed. The full view of
a carrier hinge is only seen when doors are open and stacked,
and to some users the ability to have these hinges arranged
as either hand is a useful feature. By manufacturing the hinges
with two slots, and because carrier pins are removable, the
orientation on the pins is a selection that can be made by
door makers and installers.
