What do I do if my doors have stopped moving smoothly?
Folding doors can sometimes stick or shudder and become difficult to manoeuvre due to a building’s movement, shrinking or swelling in wood, or an opening not being plumb and square. All Centor folding hardware can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to compensate for these issues – a feature unique to Centor folding systems. Centor recommends you speak with the company that built your doors or engage a qualified tradesperson to adjust your doors.
Are doors using Centor systems weather-sealed?
Yes. Centor invented the first folding system to meet weather-sealing standards, allowing them to be used externally for the first time. All Centor systems use this technology, patented by Centor in 1998, with complete door systems tested to AS2047 (the Australian Standard for windows and doors). Centor’s E4 folding system has passed Miami-Dade County hurricane testing, the most stringent weather testing in the world.
